Per favore, come si dice "mattoni crudo"? Word Reference dà "cob BE", ma qual'è il plurale? Cob BEs? E quel BE è forse l'abbreviazione del termine "béton"? Allego le due frasi che devo tradurre: "Questo delizioso appartamento è situato in una palazzina di fine '800 ed ha caratteristici soffitti a mattone crudo che le conferiscono un'atmosfera particolare".. Io ho tradotto: "This charming flat is housed in a late 19th century small building and has quaint cob BE ceilings which create a characteristic atmosphere". E poi: "La caratteristica di questo appartamento è costituita dalla bellezza delle sue camere avvolte da autentici tetti a crudo del '500, ricoperti all'interno dai tradizionali coppi in terracotta". Io ho tradotto: "What makes this flat really different is the beauty of its rooms with their original 16th century cob BE roofing, covered inside with the traditional earthenware rooftiles". Nessuna delle due frasi mi convince. Vi suonano in inglese? Io non capisco neppure come facciano dei tetti ad essere ricoperti all'interno. Esperti di architettura e di ingegneria, potete illuminarmi? Cosa dicono i nativi?

"BE" just means "British English (usage/term)"....

Io ho trovato "green brick" come "mattone crudo", ma ammetto la mia totale ignoranza in questo campo... e "cob" suona certamente meglio

Exactly. I think it's carelessly written in Italian (ie it seems illogical, impossible, and just plain wrong).

EDIT: Green brick means, I would think, unfired bricks (bricks before they have been fired). But here the reference is probably to unglazed bricks and tiles (rooftiles/ceiling tiles). Boh...
