    • In my opinion, in English speech, we would use "keep in touch" mostly when talking about people. "Keep in contact" with news sources or a language or with daily life.

    I have kept in touch with my friends during these days.

    I have kept in contact with German during these days.

    I have a problem with during these days. It sounds weird in English.

    Maybe better: over the past... few days, weeks, vacation.

    I agree with you that when it comes to people the verb is "to keep in touch"
    but I'm not too selfconfident about my English. :(
