How would you translate "medical group" in a sentence like "health plans and medical groups around the country are beginning to pay doctors to reply by e-mail.."

It is a text about digital Rx in USA. I don't know the American health system..so I can't find the real meaning! I have also problems translating "health plans" : piani sanitari??

Hi Giuggiu and welcome to the forum.

A "medical group" in AE is usually a LARGE group of doctors who work together under one corporate structure.
I'm not sure you have the same concept in Italy.
I'm not sure if you'd use "clinica medica" or "cooperativo di/ei medici" or something else.

Edit: You can consider "health plans" pretty close to health insurance companies.
