Is the following structure acceptable?

Whenever we fought, he always mentioned my errors, such as being late for appointments.

or

Whenever we fought , he always mentioned my occasional being late for appointments with him.
 
  • Do you actually mean "fought - Fight" or do you mean argue?
    There is something odd about the sentences.

    I would use 'remark' rather than 'mention' because it is an argument and there is generally more than a simple observation in an argument.

    I would say something like: "Whenever we argue, he always remarks on my faults, like being late for appointments.
