Merge AND or WITH

Could you please let me know which one is correct?

"I merged a 1200 record spreadsheet WITH a 2500 record spreadsheet."

"I merged a 1200 record spreadsheet AND a 2500 record spreadsheet"

    After some thought, I don't think there is any difference. Both are OK, but I think you might find that merge with is more popular.

    I'm not sure. There might be a difference. "With" definitely means that you put A together with B. But might "and" mean that you merged them (each or both together) with a third thing, C?
