Minimum portion

We have an image processing algorithm, which detects edges of glass images. It can detect an edge, only if a minimum area of the edge is clear and straight (no saw tooth edge).

Which would be suitable in this context?

A minimum lenghth of the edge should be clear and straight to detect the edge.

A minimum area of the edge should be clear and straight to detect the edge.

A minimum portion of the edge should be clear and straight to detect the edge.

Thanks!

Hello, Manu. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "minimum area of the edge" in your first sentence. I think it likely that you're saying "at least some tiny fraction of the edge must be straight so that the algorithm can detect it." If so, then it would make sense to say "A certain minimal length/area/portion of the edge should be straight and clear so that the edge can be detected."
