Hola

I've come accross this one:

It looks like a bunch of other shamans out there, but half of them go around under little mirrored shrouds

out of it context might bit not so easy, but I hope someone can give me a clued.

thanks a lot!

Literally, they're "sudarios dotados de espejos", but I can't think what that can refer to...

    Corrections:
out of it context might bit not so easy, but I hope someone can give me a clued.
Without its context / Out of context this might not be all that easy, but I hope someone can give me a clue.

(So why not give us some more context, then, calzetin?) :)

    Hola a todos:
SHROUD es, en forma figurada, VELO.
Así que se podría traducir como:...envueltos en velos espejados.
    Señor Cuchúflete: es narcisistas. ;)
    Buenas noches y lindos sueños...

Do you really want a context? Ok...

this is a shaman flying on a huge bird's back, while examining the state of his cousins (other people with his abilities to speak with spirits). Usually, those cousins of his "wear" a "soul spark". But this ones wear also a "mirrored shroud"...

By the way! How would you translate "cousin"? iguales? primos? primos-hermanos?

Cousin can be used to describe "kindred spirits" or a group of people or things that have something in common. No sé la palabra equivalente en Español...parecidos? alma gemela?? porque no son iguales exactamente.

Well, from this quote it sounds like you are reading a science fiction/fantasy novel, in which case the words' original English meanings will have been blurred somewhat.

Hence you probably can't translate cousin because in this context it is simply the word that the author has chosen to mean other people with the ability to speak with spirits, as you explained. And a mirrored shroud is probably a reflective cloak or veil of some description... I suspect that the literal translation given above is going to be the best you will get. :)
