Hi, everyone

In the grammar question below, the correct answer is "elaborated". I don't understand why another choice "elaborate" can't be used here. Is ther any difference in nuance?

Urban legends have more ( ) plot than rumors.

    I would say "elaborate" is correct.
    "Elaborate" = possessing great detail; intricate.
    "Elaborated" = worked upon; subjected to detailed work; (not common as an adjective.)
