Hi,
It's from 'as time goes by'
Lionel and Alistair are carrying a big hamper. Jean says, ' Poor old Lionel'. Judy says, ' More to the man than carrying a picnic hamper'.

What does Judy mean? She doesn't feel sorry for him?

Thank you.

I believe Judy is implying that there is more to Lionel than the ability to carry a picnic hamper. He has other qualities, traits, strengths.
