hola! Estaba intentando traducir una canción de Lagwagon llamada Violins al español, y no está siendo nada fácil...
hay una frase que no entiendo para nada: "Into you like a mortal stake, so vindictive, your love's slipping away"

Había pensado algo como "enamorado de ti como un _______?, tan vengativo, tu amor se está esfumando"

es que no le encuentro el sentido... :( Por favor ayudadme!

    Not knowing what came before in the song is a bit difficult, but here I think 'mortal stake' refers to a long, sharpened pole of wood which you stick into the heart of Vampires to kill them. It is quite a common image when you are 'wounded in love' to say 'he/she stuck a stake through my heart' i.e injured your heart 'mortally'. So the 'into' literally means entering into your body/heart.

    Oh that fits pretty well! I hadn't thought about that:) well it's basically a love song, it's about a guy who is in love with a girl who is driving him mad, so I guess it makes sense!
