Hi,

I would like to know if this sentence is correct:
'Most people, if they would have received the same chance as you from life, could have done what you did'

Is there any better way to put it?

Thanks a lot!

What's the idea you are trying to convey? Are you sure it's "could" and not "would"?

The meaning is: With equal chances from life (where you were born, how wealthy you were, same genetics; everything), anyone could have accomplished what you've accomplished.

I'd use "having received" instead of "if they would have received." I'd wait for the natives to further improve your sentence.
