At this point Webby Garton decided he was going to rearrange the faggot’s face. In the geography of
Mellon’s face, mountains would rise and continents would drift.
Nobody suggested he sucked the root. Nobody.
Hi, everyone.
This is from It by Stephen King. What does the underlined sentence mean?
Context: Garton was having an argument with Mellon who was a homosexual.

Thank you.

Are you familiar with Tectonics - Wikipedia. It is about how continents move around and mountains are formed as a result. The physical shape of the earth's surface gets re-arranged by these events. He is planning to re-arrange the features on the other person's face.

    Hi, Julian :)
    Thank you.

    Hi, Paul. :)
Does the writer mean that Garton is going to hit Mellon's face and as a result, his face gets swollen?
What about continents? Is he referring to his eyes, nose, or what?
    Thank you, Paul.
