move the nuts around

Some nuts were on the floor. My baby sat on the floor, and moved her hand among these nuts, pushing(or sliding) these nuts here and there, I mean to move these nuts with a brushing movement.

I wanted to stop her, can I say "stop moving these nuts around" or "stop moving around these nuts" ?

I need a verb to describe this brushing movement of the hand.

Thanks.

"stop moving these nuts around"
"stop moving around these nuts" means that she is moving and the nuts are not.

PS, we'd be more likely to say "those"
