    They are fairly even, it's true. But if you look words up in the dictionary, every word has one syllable which is stressed. There are no words which are "the same" for several syllables. You could argue democratic has four fairly even syllables, but the dictionary will tell you where the stress is.

    It's very important to teach this rule, because you often hear foreign speakers pronounce "CD" like "city".

    it´s not a word, so you pronounce it evenly... do your stress some of the letters when you say: YMCA e.g?
