My blocking is disengaged

While you're dragging down on text on a webpage, if you click on something else, the blocking (the act of selecting a certain part of the text by clicking on and holding it down while dragging through the page) will be disengaged.

I think "my blocking was disengaged" might be understandable, but seems not quite normal. How do I need to correct this?

I have not heard either "drag down" or "blocking" (dragging the mouse to select text would be fine, but I am not sure about using "drag" intransitively here). In the first part I might say "selecting" or "highlighting" text, and for the second part "your selection will be cancelled" seems to me as good a way of saying it as any.
