"My flight is leaving from Oslo next Friday."

I was taught that events that are to happen according to schedules are described with Present Simple. And thus this sentence should go "My flight leaves from Oslo next Friday." How would you comment on that? Would you say the sentence in the topic is correct? How would you yourselves say?

    I'd say both are fine.
