My love is destined to endure

I would like to translate this phrase from Egyptian dialect into MSA. The phrase is:

Maktuub inny Hobby hay3aiish

Can we simply say in MSA من المكتوب إن حبي سيعيش

(I am sometimes shocked at how close MSA is to the Egyptian dialect).

مكتوب لي أن يعيش / يدوم / يستمر حبي
قدري أن يعيش / يدوم / يستمر حبي

(Don't be so shocked. At the end of the day, it's the same language. :D)

"endure"is not the good translation for what are you looking for,it's rather "my love is destined to go on/last and for my love is destined to endure i'll say hobbi maktoub laho an youkawim.

    قدري أن حبي لك سيستمر
    قدري أن أحبك الى الأبد
Please notice that dialects are different then MSA.
In MSA you have to be more specific and more precise. In this case you have to mention your love for what.
    Examples:
    حبي للثورة
    حبي للخير

Yes, something that يقاوم can last. الذي يقاوم ممكن أن يدوم - but يقاوم is not a translation of "last" or "endure."

Your link only proves that "to endure" can mean "to last" ("durer"). It says nothing about whether يقاوم is an appropriate translation. :)
