in the following synopsis;
On prom night, Ki gets caught up in a mystery noir, Brian has a night on the town with the FPS team and Jenny gets the flu
What does mystery noir imply? Does it simply mean watching a detective film?
It is a synopsis on Netflix
Thanks in advance.

    Publishers Weekly lists the top ten "noir novels". All are murder mystery and seem to be of an earlier era.

    10 Best Noir Novels

    Any top ten list is bound to be divisive. So be warned that this is a highly personal one. These ten novels are, for me, the essence of noir and fulfill my own left-of-field vision of what constitutes the very best of the genre.
