Please help me with this: "po jednym dniu machneli na to smutnie reka... nastepnego dnia juz na smutek nie bylo miejaca... skecze z wyrwanymi konczynami byly na pozadku dziennym..."

It is something like "before a day crying..." I don't understand :(
thanks in advance

    Hello,

sounds somewhat strange, but let me take a shot:

"po jednym dniu machneli na to smutnie reka... nastepnego dnia juz na smutek nie bylo miejaca... skecze z wyrwanymi konczynami byly na pozadku dziennym..."
"after a day they let it go/forgot about it (machnąć na coś reką is an idiom, literally describing an act of waving a hand in resignation, done when e.g. you don't know how to fix a problem - a gesture quite popular in Poland, "smutnie", I believe, shows their emotional reaction; on the other hand I can't imagine this gesture done "wesoło"..)... next day there was no (room for) sadness... skits with torn out limbs were a part of day/daily routine"

    well, what is it from?
