The sample sentences are not necessarily translations of each other -- each sentence is an example of the usage of the term in that language. The sentence in English doesn't have to match the sentence in Spanish, but to make the entries more understandable, the editors usually translate the sample sentence as well as the term.
In this case, the only thing missing in the English example that the Spanish example has is the phrase "a través del parabrisas". This phrase doesn't affect the meaning of the term being modeled, and doesn't really add value to the sentence: the English sentence is perfectly understandable without it.
