Italian
Hi.
I found the word "needlestick" watching a tv series. The character, a paramedic, was giving an injection to a homeless man; he moved and the needle unfortunately pierced the paramedic's wrist. She was carried to the hospital with a "needlestick". I looked up the word on wikipedia and I understood what it means (it's an accidental percutaneous piercing wound set by a needle or another sharp instrument), but I was wondering if there's an Italian word to translate it, since "needlestick" is not on the Wordreference English-Italian dictionary. Do you know any? I thought about a simple "puntura" but it doesn't fulfill the real meaning in my opinion.
Thank you.
