Negating the Active Participle

< Previous | Next >

English - British
Just wondering if it is considered too old fashioned/ uneducated to use the following form to negate active participles?

ما أنا برايح (mana braye7)

I have heard this occasionally in the speech of some older people, generally more rural ones (In the Gulf and Oman) and wondered if it is acceptable to use.

Obviously the more regular way is to say

أنا مب / مش / مو / ما رايح
