The word "net" is used in mathematics for a pattern/diagram which, when cut out and folded can be assembled to form a three-dimensional object:


Cut out this net, fold along the lines, and glue it to make a cube.

What's the French word for that terM: net?
 
    • Thanks. Those words came to mind, but they aren't "technical math" terms.
    Others I have consulted say the word in math texts is "développement," and I guess that's what I'm going with.
