Could you please help me with this sentence, and tell me if it's correct?

"I never could have immagine how difficult it could have been to concentrate on this subject...."

    You're nearly right with your sentence and it's a very good try.

    "I never could have imagined how difficult it would be to concentrate on this subject...."

    Just a couple of mistakes. :)
