Hello everyone,

Context: When someone else closes a door, I accidentally put one of my fingers in that vertical slit of the door and my finger got hurt,

Should I say "you nip my finger" or "you clamp my finger" or some other verb?

Thank you in advance.

If you insist on blaming someone else, you could say "you pinched my finger in the door", or (more accurately) "the door pinched my finger."
Personally, I would not blame the other person for my own foolishness, and would say "I caught my finger in the door."

Thank you very much!!! And I want to clarify myself on this Question, I was just seeking a verb that can express this situation that a finger got stuck and hurt in a door, not for some sort of blame at all. Thank you~~~~
