In British English it's shopping centre
Thanks to you both. Since malls are soon to be a thing of the past, I'll change it to shopping center. And since sample sentences of this sort have to choose one dialect over another, I'll leave "center" in the American dialect as originally chosen by the dictionary editor who created the sentence.
