When you look up a word see this:

as ~ as snow, niveo/a, bianco {or} candido come la neve;

Niveo/a: does this means I can say it as either Niveo OR Nivea which means snow and it is pronounced exactly as it looks,....... right?

    I think "niveo" is the adjective that comes from "neve", so maybe "snowy".
    as for its gender, it depends on that of the subject!:)
    pronounced exactly as it looks yup, stressed so : niveo
