John speaks to Fanny after he made to his father Mr Dashwood for distributing money to stepmother, his mother and sisters:

Fanny: Although, to say the truth, I'm convinced within myself...that your father had no idea of your giving them money.

Why "your" instead of "you"?

    I would use "about" instead of "of", but it's correct with "your":

    your father had no idea about your giving them money.

    Here the bold part talks about your action of giving them money. That is what your father didn't know about.
