Dear members.

I am confused to use singular or plural verb after "no other".
To me they are both fine, but a person said we must use a singular verb.

Is it really necessary to use a singular? Why?
If we can use both singular and plural after "no" why not with "no other"?
1- No other boys are as good as Sagar.
2- No other boy is as good as Sagar.

Thanks in advance. :)
