Hi guys,

I need your help with this rhyme I encountered in Skam series.

I am translating SKAM into Arabic as the translations out there are poor in quality.
I know very little Norwegian and I depend mostly on the English translation.
But I think they translated the rhyme literally.

Here It's In Norwegian:
Vi hamrer til vi jamrer, vi sager til vi klager, vi måler til vi skåler.
Vi maler til vi maler som en katt!

The translation is:
We’re hammering till we wail, we’re sawing till we complain, we’re measuring till we drink...
...we’re painting till we purr, like a cat!

Is there really nothing more to it? or it should be translated differently?

It may be disappointing, but the text has no hidden sense. It is just what it is, quite meaningless play with similar sounding/rhyming words.

    Thank you.
This really helps, as I can just plug meaningless words that rhyme together.
Also, it gives me more confidence in the English translation. So, thank you again.
