number when you call internationaly

Hello,

When you call internationaly you always need to dial a special number that will connect you to the country you want.

For example for the UK, it's 0044, the US 001, France 0033.

What do you call these number in English?

What is the.........for France.

I've also heard and used "country code" (when the context is obvious about using a telephone and calling people)
