Hi, can an Arabic speaker please tell me how to you say, "O my friend, you're a candle in my life" in Arabic? Are the following translations correct? Also, are my Arabic case endings in order? Thank you in advance for your response.

Yaa sadeeqee anta sham'ah fee hayaatee يا صديقي أنتَ شمعةٌ في حياتي. / O my friend, you (ms.) are a candle in my life.

Yaa sadeeqatee anti sham'ah fee hayaatee يا صديقتي أنتِ شمعةٌ في حياتي. / O my friend, you (fs.) are a candle in my life.

Your Arabic is in order but it's better to say
يا صديقي أنت شمعة تنير /تضيء حياتي

Sunshine’s version means “a candle lighting up my life.”

For “the candle that lights up my life”:

يا صديقي، أنت الشمعة التي تنير/تضيء حياتي

Thank you very much for your useful answer. Much appreciated! Your version of the Arabic friendship message makes more sense, as there was something lacking in it. I rewrote the translations.

Yaa sadeeqee, anta sham'ah tuneeru hayaatee يا صديقي، أنتَ شمعةٌ تنيرُ حياتي. / O my friend, you (ms.) are a candle illuminating (lighting up) my life.

Yaa sadeeqee, anta sham'ah tudhee'u hayaatee يا صديقي، أنتَ شمعةٌ تضيءُ حياتي. / O my friend, you (ms.) are a candle illuminating (lighting up) my life.

Yaa sadeeqatee, anti sham'ah tuneeru hayaatee يا صديقتي، أنتِ شمعةٌ تنيرُ حياتي. / O my friend, you (fs.) are a candle illuminating (lighting up) my life.

Yaa sadeeqatee, anti sham'ah tudhee'u hayaatee يا صديقتي، أنتِ شمعةٌ تضيءُ حياتي. / O my friend, you (fs.) are a candle illuminating (lighting up) my life.
