Hi,

Does anyone know a phrase in English and Spanish which has the same meaning?

If someone "obraca sie w grobie" -direct translation is "kept turning in his grave" it means that something you do or say offends a memory of a dead person.

Thanks

In English: someone turned in his or her grave.
En español: alguien se revolvió en su tumba.

Do other Polish native speakers use the expression in question in this form too? I have always used and heard it in a slightly different form: przewracac się w grobie and this is the first time I have heard it in this form, any comments?

Maybe some border variant, it's "obracet se v hrobě" in Czech. The variant "převracet se v hrobě" is also correct, but it is infrequent.
