Is it right to say: "Of the components of communicative competence identified by Canale and Swain (...)"?

Or might I say "Among the components (...)" instead?

Thank's very much in advance.

O.k. I shall write down the text entirely:

"Of the components of communicative competence identified by Canale and Swain (1980), strategic competence is something long ignored by linguists, compared to grammatical competence or sociolinguistic competence."

The text expand much more, but I hope this will be sufficient.

    Thank you for your answers.

Then it is correct to use "of" in here.

And what about "Among". It would be rather better expressed, wouldn't it.

    Thanks again.
