hello all !

I can't seem to understand the "now" when used in tag questions.
I sometimes hear it in movies, in a colloquial speech. It is said with a kind of ironic tone, and I have the feeling that the one who says it is not in agreement with what had just been said.

can you please help me? :)

Your interpretation is generally correct. It implies disagreement, typically with some general form of skepticism or irony. For example, if a child says "I believe children do better in school if they're allowed to have later bedtimes," the mother may say, "Oh do you, now? Well, I don't. Go to bed."
