Hello

I am refering to my day yesterday when I spent all walking on the ocean's beach.

Can I say :

''I spent all day yesterday on the bank of the ocean''

''I spent all day yesterday at the ocean's edge''

Could you please confirm.

Many thanks
Piotr

  • Only rivers have banks, not oceans. 'At the ocean's edge/at the edge of the ocean', 'at the coast', 'on the beach', 'at the seaside' are all possible. It rather depends exactly where you were.

In BE - "I spent all day yesterday walking on the beach.

In AE - "I spent all day yesterday walking beside the ocean."
