I was just wondering how you say 'on the dance floor' in the context; When i was dancing on the dance floor i fell over.
This is my attempt:
Cuando yo estaba bailando en el piso de bailar, me cai.

En Argentina "piso de bailar" no existe, sería "pista de baile".

I agree. "Pista de baile" is the correct way for saying that .
