Hi, there
I am trying to write a review of the paper by "What are schools for?" by Michael Young and I would like to knwo if you would use "on the part of" as I did.

Thank you very much in advance!

(This is the third paragraph)

"Mentioning two social struggles over the purposes of school, the author comes to an answer to the aforementioned question. Michael Young holds that schools are meant to enable people to acquire knowledge that is not available anywhere else, like at home or in the workplace, thereby challenging the instrumentalist attitude, on the part of politicians and public figures, towards schooling."

Is this wrong or odd?

Thank you!
