hi - a friend of mine was wondering if the correct expression is "on the right track" or "on the right tract" - i immediately thought "on the right track" (on the right path or route to doing something) but thought that "tract" could be correct too if it were referring to being on the right "expanse of land" -- i can't seem to find an explanation anywhere, so i thought that i'd try here!
