As a drug addict you are supposed to 'take one day at a time'. How would you say that in Spanish?

    Another option:

    "un día a la vez"

    Some people who have addictions have a saying regarding this:

    "Sólo por hoy"

    (Only/Just for today) talking about not douing drugs or alcohol,
    in fact it is a motto from AA

    Con un poco más de contexto podría quedar mejor, pero tal como está, lo traduciría:
    "Paso a paso, un día a la vez".
