Hello everyone

i would like to use the phrase "one step ahead" in french

for example:

The Eiffel tower will prove that France is always one step ahead of the world!

Does this saying make sense in French?
  • non rien!

Could we also say in this context:

She thinks that I am stupid... but I am one step ahead of her!

'... mais j'ai une longueur d'avance sur elle!'
