Hi,
Is only one of them correct?

1. one way to improve your French is to read books in French
2. one way to improve your French is reading books in French

Thanks

Both are correct. The infinitive form of a verb is often interchangeable with the gerund. It is usually more traditional, however, to say "by reading books in French."

Somehow I think I prefer this:

--Reading books in French is one way to improve your French.
--One way to improve your French is to read books in French.
--You can improve your French by reading books in French.

I am not, of course, saying this is the only right way to arrange the sentence.
