I am working on a translation of the interview with owner of an European furniture shop in LA.

There is a sentence like this.

“It was opened on Valentine’s Day in 2004 to wide acclaim and love from the city of LA and its people.”

I would like to know the intention of the speaker.
I thought of 2 possible options as below.

A)She opened the showroom on Valentine’s Day WISHING TO RECEIVE the wide acclaim and love from the city of LA and its people?

Or

B)She opened the showroom on Valentine’s Day TO SHOW the wide acclaim and love from the city of LA and its people?

Which is the correct interpretation?
Or if either of these is wrong, please advise the correct meaning of this sentence.

I’ll appreciate for your kind help and support!
