French to English otarie

Dictionary entry: otarie

« eared seal » / « otariid » / « otary » would be more scientifically accurate translations.
In French « otarie » designates the entire family of otariidae, which includes « sea lions » and « fur seals ».
The current translation proposed by WordReference is “sea lions” which would be translated to “lions de mer” in French.
I would suggest to add a scientific translation (the tree first terms of this message) and a vernacular one (including “sea lions” and “fur seal”).
Though I am just a French man interested in biology, and not a professional biologist or translator.
Have a great day.
