our/my wedding anniversary

Which do you use, “our/my wedding anniversary” when you are talking to your friend such as “Our/my wedding anniversary is June 8th.”

“Our” sounds better to me because it takes two to get married, but it is also your day that you got married, so “my” sounds acceptable too...

Please let me know what you think, as a native speaker.

Thank you.

It depends on the context. If the friend also knows your spouse, you can say "our." If it's your friend only, and he or she does not know your spouse, "my" would probably be better as a matter of style. Your friend surely knows that you cannot have a wedding anniversary by yourself.
