Out of free will?

Is it really the only way to say that "I helped my friend of my own free will." or can I also say " I helped my friend out of my free will."
Or is the second sentence considered ungrammatical?

    It doesn't work.
    "I helped my friend out of my car." :thumbsup:
    "I helped my friend out of my free will." How did he get into your free will?

    PS No space between " and the first word of the quotation.
