Could you tell me if oustanding invoices, overdue invoices and unpaid invoices mean the same thing?

    Thank you

An unpaid invoice is not necessarily overdue. If a customer has 30 days to pay, on day 17 the invoice could be unpaid but not overdue. It would be an outstanding invoice, since it is not paid. Those that are over the time limit for payment are the ones that are overdue.

Good point tepatria. I was going to say they are the same. Point: overdue and outstanding invoices are the same.

I assume you meant to say that outstanding invoices are not the same as overdue invoices.

Outstanding and unpaid invoices are the same.

Overdue invoices are outstanding or unpaid invoices that were due for payment by a certain date (due date) and that date has passed, so they are overdue for payment.
