outwards / outwardly

Is "outwards" equal "outwardly"? Can I exchange them?

In addition, outward voyage/journey can only mean a journey to other countries. Am I righ? I wonder whether it can mean going to other cities in the same country, or just refer to leaving the place where I stay and indicate that you will be back in near future.

Thanks a lot.

Well, you haven't used "outwards" or "outwardly" in your example, only "outward," which sounds about right to me.

I see an outward voyage as a voyage by watercraft away from where you are, and an outward journey as a journey (by foot, horse, car, train, bicycle, what have you) away from where you are.
