I was listening to débat politique on rfi on 19/04/2011 when a journalist asked the guest whether the french senate was not 'pachydermique' because it had 338 members for a country of about 60 million while the american senate had 100 members for a population of 320 million. I think he meant it was 'elephantine' in a figurative sense (too big for a small population). Is this correct?
