I see this sentence on my oatmeal packaging.
<First question removed>

And, what is "pantry pack"?
For a convenient pantry pack, press in and pull up along perforation on back of box to remove flap.

    It looks like a pantry pack is collection of individual portions sold as one unit to allow consumers to more effectively organize storage.

    Thanks to breakthrough, easy-dispensing packaging, Ritz lovers can now enjoy smaller packages of their favorite cracker at home or on-the go with the ease of a new "pantry pack" - similar to a beverage can dispensing package for the fridge. — Kraft Foods Invests in Quality and Innovative Growth Platforms to Launch More than 80 New Products at FMI in 2008

    Something like this.

    The box is designed to be opened and then placed in the pantry, giving easy access to its contents. 12-ounce tins of soda (pop, sodapop, coke, or whatever term you prefer) are often sold in "refrigerator packs," which work the same way; the box is opened at one end and placed in the refrigerator, so that it keeps the tins neatly together but lets you take one out without having to open the box and close it again each time.

    It says "especially when there are individual small packs." It doesn't say "exclusively." :) The term isn't precise, and while it usually refers to small packets in a larger box, sometimes it just means "a really big supply."
